On the morning of March 23, accompanied by staffs of Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and Guizhou Minzu University, 13 university presidents from Myanmar visited Huaxi Campus, GZNU. Vice President, Luo Yongxiang, exchanged ideas with the Myanmar representatives. Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Pei Jun; dean of School of Economics and Management, Lv Ping; dean of School of Big Data and Computer Science, Hu Shengbo; dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the deputy director of Teaching Affairs Office, Zhou Xun; deputy secretary of Party Committee of School of Materials and Architectural Engineering, Zheng Huan; deputy dean of School of International Education, Chen Chang attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Luo Yongxiang and head of the delegation, Kyaw Zwa Soe, briefly introduced GZNU and the delegation respectively. Both sides also discussed about the matters of how Myanmar students apply for GZNU and the scholarships provided, short-term students exchange programs and the running ways of finance and higher education. Kyaw Zwa Soe said that the rapid development and successful experiences of Chinese higher education is worthy of learning for Myanmar universities and he reaped much benefits from this visit. In the end, both sides reach a tentative agreement to cooperation. The specific details still need to be negotiated.
